There have been a few changes to Library services over the summer. Below are some of the changes but please ask for help if you are not sure. You can ask for more information at any library information desk, take a look at the library guide to lending services or contact the library helpdesk - email@example.com
Library PIN – the University & Library PIN are now combined into a single PIN. You will need your PIN to borrow books. If you forget it, go to https://www.shef.ac.uk/cics/password, login with your University username & password and choose option 6 to have your PIN e-mailed to you.
As long as no-one has requested your books we will automatically renew them for you. We will send you an e-mail to let you know if any of your books cannot be renewed due to requests on them, and we will also send you a weekly borrowing statement to remind you which books you have out on loan and highlight any that have been requested.
Fines are now only charged for the late return of requested items but accumulate at the rate of £2 per day. Remember to check your library account and borrowing statements regularly!
Each week you will receive a borrowing statement by e-mail. This will list what you have out on loan. If one of your books needs to be returned as someone else has requested it, we'll let you know, so check this e-mail carefully.
Don't forget to sign in to StarPlus by clicking University Members. Signing in ensures that you can access all the content that you are entitled, including subscribed journals and databases, and ensures that you can use features such as myLibrary Account and the e-shelf.
